Join the Fun & Sponsor the Fair

Howdy! Thank you for considering sponsoring the La Salle County Fair & Wild Hog Cook-Off. This event, run by volunteers and a small staff, has grown into one of South Texas' most exciting community events.

The Wild Hog Cook-Off started with nine teams in the early 1980s and now hosts over 250 teams and 10,000 patrons annually! Sponsorship helps us:

  • Expand scholarship opportunities for local youth
  • Support student contests and premium awards
  • Continue producing a safe, fun, and memorable event for the community

We work closely with local student organizations, non-profits, and community partners to make the fair a true team effort. Every contribution helps students succeed and keeps our fair traditions alive.

Support Local Youth

Our main mission is to raise funds to help the youth of La Salle County. Scholarships are a vital resource for students managing the rising costs of college education.

The Fair Association also provides:

  • Continuing Education Scholarships for past scholarship recipients
  • Student Contests & Premiums during the fair, including science, arts & crafts, food competitions, and more
  • Hands-on leadership and volunteer experience for students helping run events

Over the past five years, we've awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to local students pursuing higher education.
